At the top of this tall tower is a restaurant & swimming pool. Prices for lunch were quite reasonable, and includes xclnt views of the city.

Dear Cimaron, Just saw your post. Thanks so much for your comments! I know Harry did own movie theaters in Cuba that were confiscated during the revolution. Harry did spend time in Havana and even played cards with Meyer Lansky.

Harry Kalmine probably was involved with this theater in the 1945-1947 time frame. As you know, he was Vice President, General Mgr. for Warner which evolved into Stanley Warner Corp....As a college student in the 60's, I worked for SWC and had interactions with Harry in connection with one of the SW theaters in Oklahoma City, OK...He had exceptional management skills and was highly regarded. I also have nothing but fond memories of him...Regards!

Just returned from Havana and we used this restaurant on most evenings and found this to be a great place for dining. Used by travellers and cubans alike. If this is communism I am all for it. We have travelled throughout the world and found Cuba to be a very safe country to explore
